Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality integrated daycare and early education for children from birth to age 7 within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements.
  • Contribute to planning and support the delivery of a high-quality early years curriculum that fully embraces anti-discriminatory practice. This includes planning on a daily, weekly, and termly basis to address individual children's needs and interests and maintaining records to track each child's development.
  • Foster children's development in a secure, safe, and stimulating environment, adhering to best practice curriculum guidance tailored to their developmental stages.
  • Participate in assessing children’s overall development through observations, documenting achievements, and maintaining high-standard developmental records.
  • Support colleagues in their roles as key workers, facilitating smooth transitions for children from home to the center and from the center to school.
  • Manage children's behavior effectively in line with procedural guidelines and implement planned interventions for children with additional needs.
  • Provide appropriate physical care, including washing, toileting, changing, feeding, dressing, comforting, and administering medication.
  • Follow Child Protection procedures diligently and report any concerns to center managers.
  • Assist in organizing outings that promote children’s interest, education, and enjoyment while ensuring their safety.
  • Assist with lifting and supporting children during toileting and changing, and help them transfer from seating to mobility aids. Promote the development of self-help skills, including toileting and personal hygiene, and implement individual movement programs under professional direction.
Key Requirements:
  • NVQ or degree in Early Years Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid and current DBS check.
