Skilled Stainless Steel Welder/Fabricator position available in Marshfield, WI, US • Requires expertise in welding, grinding, and fabrication • Attention to detail and quality are paramount • Efficiency and effectiveness are essential qualities • Must fulfill production hours while upholding high standards • Responsible for adhering to production schedule and ensuring accurate part construction • ASME standards knowledge is a must Responsibilities: • Ensure all safety procedures, policies, and work practices are followed, including reporting incidents, injuries, and illnesses to a supervisor. • Demonstrate a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with colleagues. • Wear all necessary PPE, such as steel-toe boots, gloves, eye protection, ear protection, and protective suits. • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Oversee production of 1-4 personnel and perform quality checks as needed. • Mark bending and cutting lines onto workpieces. • Design and assemble templates and fixtures. • Optimize workflows and adhere to production schedules. • Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, weld and material finish, required tolerances, and other written instructions. • Select suitable welding base materials, filler wires, and gas. • Prepare the product to be welded by cutting, drilling, tapping, and grinding. • Align components using measuring tools. • Set up a welder and understand parameters. • Weld parts in various positions using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment. • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for accuracy. • Create quality finishes using hand and power tools. • Operate and troubleshoot equipment, and report any issues to management. Qualifications: Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years minimum proven experience as a welder and fabricator (TIG and MIG weld types required) with in-depth knowledge of welding methods and practices. Successful completion of required BSI weld testing (ASME). Technical or professional certification (AWS) is preferred but not required. Knowledge and Understanding: • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and drawings. • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (safety glasses, face shield, boots, gloves, etc.) Skills and Physical Abilities: • Outstanding attention to detail. • Strong mechanical aptitude. • Ability to walk, bend, and stoop on a regular basis. • Ability to lift, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, sit, and climb on an occasional basis. • Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs. • Able to stand and work for long periods of time (8-10 hours). • Ability to weld in a variety of positions.
