Then we have the job for you!Role ResponsibilitiesServe as Onsite Host and Bourbon Educator for elevated experiences offering exceptional support to each and every guest.
Personify our brands to our most important partners and guests through rich storytelling, compelling education, and outstanding customer service.
Serve as the conduit between production and hospitality, ensuring appropriate processes, guidelines and considerations are communicated and applied.
Leads designated VIP tours conducted within and outside of normal hours of operation.
Account facing expert for all James B. Beam Distilling Co. Single Barrel programs: hosting selections and acting to provide consultation on single barrel production and programs as needed.
On-site commitment to highly flexible, high-touch experience
Ensuring any last-minute changes / late arrivals don't interfere with experience
Weather-dependent experiences and plans / pivots
Supporting any special needs: dietary, mobility, language, etc
Exhibit expertise and detailed knowledge on crafting cocktails with products in the Beam Suntory Whiskey portfolio as well as ingredients, proper bar tools, mixology trends, etc.
Work side by side with the American Outpost TeamQualificationsBachelor's degree with 3 years experience, or 5 years related on the job experience
Tourism and/or Food & Beverage experience
Enthusiastic and magnetic personality
This role requires a full understanding of all our American whiskey products
Demonstrated knowledge of the distillation processes, maturation procedures and a complete understanding of the entire process of making and aging bourbon.
Experience leading guided tasting experiences.
Strong presentation and storytelling skills with ability to entertain while educating
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at one time
Extreme timeliness, with pro-active timeline management skills with flexibility and nimbleness to manage multiple projects, timelines and communications.
Self-starter, innovative, visionary
Excellent communication skills and upwards communication
Team oriented
Works well independently and with little supervision
Willing to work some weekends, holidays and evenings.
General office equipment knowledge
External whiskey certifications (Stave & Thief, CSS, WSET, etc.)
