About the RoleThe Major Projects Solicitor will be responsible for protecting the interests of the Combined Authority and Merseytravel (together the Organisations) by advising upon, drafting, and negotiating complex legal agreements.The post-holder will support both innovative and major development projects on behalf of the Organisations. These projects will make significant contribution to regeneration within the Liverpool City Region. This will require bespoke legal drafting and the development of novel legal solutions to secure client and regional objectives.The successful candidate will be required to advise upon complex legal structures to secure project delivery and in some instances a financial return to the Organisations. Further the postholder will have the opportunity to provide advice to a range of public owned company entities.You will provide comprehensive legal support, often alongside the Organisations Directors, to major projects from inception to post completion.Preferably 35 Hours per week, hours are Flexible, and flexible working policies are in operation.About the personYou will be a personable and approachable professional seeking your next challenge. You will have a proven track record of delivery, be looking to make a tangible difference and want to work in an exciting environment.You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with extensive, post qualification experience.
