We are recruiting on behalf of a brand new small animal practice in Spalding, Lincolnshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.This role is full or part time with weekends on a rota. As this practice has recently opened, more accurate working hours and weekend rota will be confirmed soon but there will be no OOH work or on-call duties.The practice is a purpose-built site which will is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It will offer a modern and spacious working environment.The Vets will be working alongside the branch partner who has 25 years experience and has a special interest in Orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, and a fantastic nursing team and practice support team.The role will provide a lovely environment, caseload, and excellent diagnostic facilities for you to get stuck into. It will offer you the opportunity to grow your own client base and become part of the local community. The practice will continue to support carer development and will be in full support of postgraduate qualifications along with CDP training in areas of special interest to you. They can provide both relocation and sponsorship packages.The practice in return is able to offer no OOH, full or part time hours if required for the right candidate, relocation package if applicable and a competitive salary package commensurate to experience.Key details

  • You will be competent in routine surgeries and consultations and be able to perform routine surgeries on your own
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your veterinary work
  • You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
  • You will be a strong team player
