We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Prestonto assist with the appointment of a Business Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £12.38 - £15.13 per hourSummary:
  • Have excellent ICT skills to provide comprehensive business support in respect of Fleet Services team working closely with operational staff, managers and customers.
  • Under limited supervision maintain, update and extract information from systems.
  • Assisting with the collection and collation of information relevant to the Service.
  • Respond to enquiries and resolve where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
  • Arranging and managing the supply of hired vehicles to meet service requirements.
  • Updating spreadsheets and producing / analysing reports from fleet management systems, including the provision to managers.
  • Providing support for meetings which could include arranging dates, room bookings, preparing agendas and note taking.
  • Dealing with procurement including the processing of invoices, bookings, orders and financial monitoring where necessary.
  • Deal with telephone calls / enquiries as appropriate
Qualifications:
  • 4 GCSE's A-C or 4-9 including English & Maths or equivalent academic qualification.

You will still be required to have two furtherGCSE's A-C or 4-9 or equivalent academic qualificationsExperience:
  • Experience of working with customers internal and or external either face to face or by phone.
  • Business Support experience, including regular use of ICT systems and office routines such as mail, filing, telephone communication and message taking
  • Support for meetings which could include arranging dates, room bookings and preparation of agendas, note taking and any other related tasks
  • Previous experience of maintaining financial records and processing orders and invoices.
  • Using an electronic records management system
