Job Description:Role - Managing Consultant - ESG & Sustainability AdvisorySalary Range: £70,000 - £82,500 depending on experience.Office location - Manchester or BristolThe closing date for this role is 28th June 2024. Our clients trust us to enhance their commercial performance, improve their ESG ratings, engage their employees in sustainability and to build organisational resilience in a rapidly changing physical and technology climate.The roleIf you have practical experience of IFRS S1/S2, CSRD, CS3D, ESRS, carbon accounting, EU taxonomy, climate risk assessment, lifecycle assessment, CBAM, the development of decarbonization strategies and/or climate adaptation planning: We want you to join our fast growing sustainability practice.You'll engage with diverse stakeholders, lead projects, and drive unprecedented change for governments, businesses, and society. You'll play a key role in our business by delivering exceptional results. Your contribution will help us to shape the future of a decarbonised, climate resilient society.We are recruiting for multiple senior roles & seeking candidates with practical, applied, experience of one or more of the following:
  • Calculating and managing Scope 3 carbon emissions.
  • The development of decarbonisation strategies and roadmaps.
  • The analysis, and tasks, to support sustainability reporting and how these can be used to improve operational performance.
  • E.g. IFRS S1/S2, CSRD, CS3D, ESRS, TCFD, TNFD
  • Sustainable procurement and due diligence.
  • Circular Economy, with a specific focus on eco-design / Design for the Environment (DfE) & technology integration to improve circularity.
  • Adaptation planning
  • E.g. Adaptation Reporting Power (ARP), UK Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA), ISO14090 series, UKCP18 datasets/products

  • Examples of where they have provided focused sustainability advice / consultancy (either as an in-house advisor / manager or as an external consultant).
  • Confidence in conducting numerical analysis, applying creative problem-solving skills, and presenting to senior executives, high ranking civil servants and industry leaders.
  • Effective collaboration, with experience of working as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to influence effectively.
