What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the team at AVRS, a Galliford Try business.We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor who will have project controls responsibility. As part of the role, you will be required to work autonomously and implement the companies project controls & administration strategy focussed on “on time, on budget” principles, utilising and contributing to the existing quality assurance system and environmental management systems.
  • Undertake quantity surveying duties for projects the company secures.
  • Ensuring the correct administration of the contracts the company undertakes.
  • Ensure that programmes are maintained and submitted in accordance with the contract.
  • Ensure the timely submission of cost, forecast and valuation data to your seniors.
  • Understand & implement QA policies of the company.
  • Undertake general and contractual administration for the company.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organisations.
  • Represent the company to senior managers of client organisations.
About You:
  • You will hold a Quantity Surveying degree.
  • Some experience in a project controls background.
  • Commercially aware with a strong focus on teamwork and change management.
  • Mentoring and working with colleagues, sharing knowledge and experience
  • Communicate and present in a professional manner, both written and verbally.
  • Actively demonstrate initiative and able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 and ICHEM E desirable.
