- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to patients to improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- In-depth knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and protocols.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in acute care settings.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques related to occupational therapy is a plus
