Seasonal Technician, Field Service

- Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of customer's equipment including but not limited to gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, exciters, valves, heat transfer apparatus and auxiliaries.
- Assist in the alignment of turbine combustors and components including inter-stage seal housings, blade rings, and transitions.
- Assist in rigging techniques associated with blade ring rollout, heavy cylinder lifts, and turbine rotor removal/installation.
- Assist in coupling alignment on small industrial rotating equipment and industrial turbine generators.
- Utilize safety and material control procedures during opening, inspection, and closing of turbine generators.
- Learn and apply quality control procedures during opening, inspection, and closing of turbine generators.
- Assist with the removal and installation of turbine blades and vane segments.
- Learn the proper use of precision measuring equipment for interpretation of data.
- Assist with troubleshooting complicated mechanical/electrical problems.
- Learn the practice of crane safety and lifting signals.
- Maintain tooling inventory and communicate re-order with the Field Supervisor.
- Provide feedback to field supervisor regarding tooling development.
- Overnight travel both domestic and international by land and/or air until contractual obligations are met.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting unsafe activities to Management.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

- Maintain in good status a driver's license and passport.
- Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels.

- Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
- Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or at least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
