About the roleThe hours for this role are 8:30am - 3:30pm term time only.About the schoolSituated in Stroud, this school offers a broad range of learning activities as well as individualised activities to support the education and wellbeing of each pupil. Students will have a range of Special Educational Needs that require a patient, nurturing Individual to support them.RequirementsTo be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant (SEND) you will:
  • Be compassionate, understanding and caring.
  • Be flexible, proactive and a team player.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Be able to demonstrate at interview the reasons why you want to start a career in education, and explain your understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant and the important part they play in the school community.
  • Understand the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe.
  • Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Recent experience supporting children or adults with additional needs.
