The mission of Facilities and Services Division is to "Enable academic excellence at ANU through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery." The three key portfolios are Infrastructure & Planning, Operations and Corporate.The Maintenance portfolio has responsibility for the delivery of all maintenance activities at the ANU. This encompasses the management and delivery of all statutory, preventative and corrective maintenance, asset management initiatives and capital renewal programmes.The Facilities and Services Division seeks to engage a Building Operations Manager to move the focus of maintenance services to a preventative service model through its people and enhancing business processes and supporting systems.The Building Operations Manager reports to the Associate Director Operations and is a key member of the leadership group within the Maintenance Portfolio. The Building Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of cleaning and waste contracts across the University, they are also a key liaison between the maintenance manager and the client in the delivery of statutory, preventative and corrective maintenance, minor capital works and back log maintenance by the Service Delivery team.The Building Operations manager will need to demonstrate a strong systems background, as the custodian of maintenance and asset data for the University and with the division embarking on a complete revamp of its facilities management system, the operations manager will take a key role as custodian of that data, providing data driven recommendations to facilities executive as it carves its path to a leader in the facilities management space across the University sector.To be successful in this position you will possess postgraduate qualifications (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
