We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join a fantastic national company on a permanent basis. The role requires someone with an analytical mindset and a good understanding of financial principles.
  • Complete the analysis behind commercial data available
  • Work closely with various departments and build relationships with internal stakeholders i.e sales team
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Analysis of our sales volume, price reviews, product costs and margins, review and analysis of our promotional and marketing spend, ensuring the funds are utilised in the most effective manner to maximise profit
  • Work closely with and support the Finance BP to propose changes backed up by data
  • Complete margin and variance analysis
  • Identify cost saving opportunities within the business
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as required
Complete the analysis behind the various forms of commercial data |Study support offeredThe ideal candidate will come from a financial and analytical background, this could be from FMCG, retail, IT or consultancy sector. We are more interested to see someone that is eager to learn and progress within a finance analyst role as long as you are competent with data, reporting and excel;· Previous experience working within a financial, data driven/analytical role· Strong user of Excel· Lots of examples where you have created reporting· Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis· A strong understanding of financial reporting· Be meticulous by nature· Excellent communication and presentation skills· Ability to work effectively within a team and independently· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial softwareThe company is a leading player in the FMCG industry with a significant presence in the UK market.
