Are you a current Director of English or aspiring Director of English seeking a rewarding opportunity from September 2024? This excellent Alternative Provision in North Birmingham is recruiting for a dynamic Director of English to lead a small team of English Teachers in inspiring a love for English. Students at this school have struggled to engage with education within a mainstream setting and have been excluded on either a temporary or permanent basis. You will be teaching small classes of Key Stage 3 / 4 students up to GCSE and will be responsible for delivering lessons that stretch and engage students.As Director of English, you will be responsible for managing a small team of English Teachers and developing an English curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of your learners. Previous experience within an Alternative Provision is not essential, however you must possess strong classroom management skills. This role requires a QTS English Teacher who Director of English who is passionate about giving students a second chance and providing them with an outstanding education, regardless of the barriers that they face.Job Role:
- Leading a team of English Teachers to provide an outstanding education within a dynamic Alternative Provision.
- Teaching English to Key Stages 3 & 4 up to GCSE.
- Teaching small classes of no more than 10 students.
- Tailoring the English curriculum to suit the needs of learners.
- Inspiring a love for all things English Language and Literature.
- Excellent rates of pay, MPS 3 - UPS3 +SEN allowance.
