- Lead the financial planning and analysis department of the university
- Develop and implement strategies for the 5-year planning process to enable financial growth and stability
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
- Collaborate with senior management to set budget and financial goals
- To lead the annual TRAC submission, ensuring that the University fulfils the requirements of the Office for Students (OFS)
- Implement policies and procedures to improve financial efficiency
- Ensure financial compliance with regulatory bodies
- Manage and mentor the FP&A team - 11 team members
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial objectives align with university goals
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA accounting qualification
- Proven experience in a similar role within the education sector handling TRAC retruns
- Experience dealing with apprenticeship and research finance
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent financial forecasting and budgeting skills
- Proficiency in financial software and databases
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A competitive salary, with a range of approximately £60,000 - £65,000 annually
