In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative solutions to relevant problems. Providing ideas and is able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.Your responsibilities

Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in their own area of competence and embracing best practices
Understanding the key drivers for ABB in their own business or technology area to make judgments and contributing to results
Applying their own innovative or creative ideas to create value and propose concrete follow-up and improvement activities
Possessing a solid understanding and efficiently applies the key R&D tools used in their own organization
Contributing actively to the quality of ABB's offerings and improvements in their own area of responsibility
Understanding the importance of IP for ABB's business and contributes to IP-related discussions in their projects

Your background

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in Protection Philosophy Design and Development for Medium Voltage Outdoor
Excellent competence with CAD (E-Plan, AutoCAD, Solid works etc.,) technical drawings and experience in PLM systems
Knowledge about type testing, IEC standards
Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
