We are proud to be working ith a leading education provider that delivers pioneering education in creative technologies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, who have recently opened a brand new campus in Whitechapel, London.Opened in September 2023, their state-of-the-art site provides the very best technology and facilities including a 600-capacity multipurpose venue for live music and events including esports, as well as specialist production spaces, studios and teaching labs.We are seeking an ambitious individual with a background in events production, live sound or lighting.This role gives you the chance to shape distinctive, higher education courses that are well-funded, superbly equipped and delivered collaboratively with other relevant courses in the academic portfolio. There is the possibilty for the ideal candidate to teach across a variety of related courses.If you are passionate about developing our young people to be the next generation of industry leaders in events production, we want to hear from you.Duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop course infrastructure (inc. IT, estates and other stakeholders) and design innovative curriculum plan for delivery of new courses
  • Develop relationships with Industry Professionals in order to ensure Work Like Experience is embedded for all students
  • Lead and line manage a team of lecturers to deliver an identified HE course within the CICT provision.
  • Plan the effective delivery of the curriculum, including timetabling and use of resources.
  • Oversee preparation and development of course materials.
  • Actively keep up to date with practice, trends and innovations in your subject area and incorporate as appropriate into session planning and delivery.
  • Liaise with other senior lecturers and curriculum specialists in all education areas to share best practice, ensure consistency and equity in delivery
  • Support the development of the curriculum in line with changes in legislation, CICT strategy, local and national priorities and latest trends in relevant industries.
  • Promote, develop and manage flexible, high quality, student centred approaches to curriculum delivery.
  • Proactively liaise with the Teaching & Learning Manager to ensure pedagogical currency and effectiveness across all delivery within the team
  • Ensure team and individual targets are set effectively and monitored through regular one to ones, effective course team meetings and the appraisal process.
  • Contribute to peer coaching and mentoring.
  • Promote effective risk management (including Health and Safety) related to the course and student provision.
  • Liaise with all education and support teams as necessary to ensure smooth and consistent delivery between the levels and into HE.
  • Oversee the use of student records to ensure consistency in monitoring of students across the course team, using MIS software and data to manage student outcomes.

  • Fulfil the requirements of CICT quality processes and in accordance with quality processes.
  • Operate effectively and efficiently within the requirements of curriculum assessment, moderation, internal verification and examination regulations in accordance with CICT policies.
