Project Support Officer - RFQ-ASD-02-2024 - SOW 1 - RereleasedDue to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).ABOUT THIS ROLEMission Capability Division within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), are responsible for delivering cutting edge capabilities to support ASD's Signals Intelligence, Cyber and Enterprise Capabilities.These capabilities consist of a combination of:
  • Delivery of new capability under the REDSPICE program;
  • Delivery of ASD's major capability programs and;
  • Enhancing and modernising existing capabilities.
To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for multiple Project Support Officers.ASD seeks a Project Support Officer that has a proven history of working in complex projects and contributing to the organisational capability within the project.The Project Support Officer is accountable under general direction to assist several team leads in the delivery of the Project to provide effective administration, procurement and finance support to technical projects.The Project Support Officer will work independently to undertake a range of administrative tasks including maintaining Risk Registers, Stakeholder Matrix, and management of Program and Project artefacts within the team.The Project Support Officer will take responsibility for the provision of support services to projects, use and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects whilst supporting programme or project control boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings.The successful candidate will be required to work cohesively and communicate effectively with other project team staff and stakeholder groups.The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.ABOUT THE COMPANYAustralian Signals Directorate (ASD) is the federal agency responsible for foreign signals intelligence, cyber warfare and information security. Long contracts (12 months+) available.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain program and project Risk Registers; including regular reviews and updates; advising team members if they have been nominated to execute risk treatment; and facilitating project risk workshops.
  • Maintain project documentation including establishment of a document library and control methods for finalised project documents. Ensure that all final documents meet audit requirements and are easily retrievable.
  • Implement stakeholder communication plans, enhancing customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide administration support including schedule maintenance, monthly reporting, and resource management.
  • Provide general administrative support including management of project record keeping requirements and systems; secretariat support for project meetings and forums and other communications.
  • Provide complex office and administrative support to the Program Office.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • Knowledge of the Project Management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated administration and organisational skills within Defence's Desktop Environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of project governance board engagements.
  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
