We are currently undergoing an exciting restructure within the team, and this is a great time to join us as we implement an ambitious 5-year strategy to ensure we have the right homes for all our children and young people.We have a rewarding opportunity to commission services and improve the lives of children in care. You will be part of a supportive, innovative, and award-winning team where we are building a culture where amazing people like YOU can do their best work.Your day-to-day work will involve:
  • Implementing and leading on strategies and initiatives to ensure we have nurturing and caring homes for children to grow up in.
  • Working closely with both our in-house services and external providers who we commission to deliver homes for children and young people.
  • Learning all aspects of commissioning and project management.
  • Being outcome focussed and wanting the best for Somerset Children.
  • Supervising & developing a small team of Commissioners, ensuring team objectives are delivered.
