The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 credits in special education and 6 credits in education theory.
- Must possess a Pennsylvania Special Education certificate; or a Pennsylvania Private Academic certification with the ability to attain public certification within one year from the date of hire.
- 1-3 years of experience working with students with autism or emotional support is required; this can include student teaching.
- Demonstrates ability to develop classroom strategies that promote an effective teaching and learning environment.

- Design, supervise, and implement students’ IEP plans.
- Create and coordinate student schedules with related services and general education.

- Participate in several staff development training courses focused on working with students.
- Implement state-of-the-art strategies to work effectively with students.
