- Supporting the customer mission by providing analytic situational awareness and counter threat network analysis in support of combatant commands and deployed forces to enable operations against enemy networks and identify operational solutions to counter weapons of mass destruction and emerging threat activities
- Providing on-site analytic support in a multi-disciplinary team environment to deliver analytic products and provide appropriate briefing and visualizations for the customer that capture key aspects of analytic findings and generate actionable leads and insights
- Learning and applying highly technical data processing skills and analytic methodologies required to effectively perform the responsibilities listed, as well as related analytic, geospatial, statistical, or predictive tasks that emerge within the scope of support provided to the customer
- Learning and applying industry-standard analytic software tools at an Expert level, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, ESRI ArcGIS, i2 Analysts Notebook, Python scripts and proprietary LexisNexis and ZetX tools
- Processing, integrating, syncing, and analyzing geospatial data from multiple data sources to create production-quality thematic maps, using industry-standard geographic information systems and scripting tools
- Operating professionally and effectively, often without direct supervision, while conducting high-quality analysis, data development, capability briefs, and reach-back support seamlessly across diverse analytic and technical teams in an operations-focused environment in support of a shared mission
- Applying critical thinking to drive your data analysis in an independent and discovery environment while working within the team setting to learn from and provide, others with personal expertise
- Translating highly technical findings for defense, law enforcement, and inter-agency customers into concise, actionable products, or white papers and actively engage with the customer to ensure understanding and operational utility
- Meet all requirements of the Pattern Analyst role and responsibilities
- Design, create, deliver, and support automated and semi-automated workflows, data processing, geospatial processing, and analytic methodologies using scripting or model development interfaces within the operational environment in real-time support of Pattern Analysis activities and individual team members
- Robust experience with Python, Anaconda, Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas/Geopandas, or similar scripting tools, libraries, and IDEs in support of data processing and integration, geospatial analysis, natural language processing, text-to-table extraction, and network graph theory
- Experience with scalable machine learning solutions, cloud computing, and/or cyber security is desirable
- Obtain CompTIA Sec+ IT certification in support of DOD 8570 requirements
- Meet all requirements of the Pattern Analyst role and responsibilities
- Proactively engage with forward customers, coalition partners, inter-agency partners, and military leadership, including General and Flag officers, to complete direct analytic tasks and conduct analytic product briefings and capability briefs as a trusted representative of the Pattern Analysis capability
- Communicate effectively and routinely through virtual teleconference, email, and secured networks to act as a conduit between forward mission priorities and reach back capabilities, to update status of operations, and to complete all documentation and reporting requirements
- Ability to deploy TDY for 90-day or 180-day rotations, or under Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) for 12 months per rotation. Prior overseas deployment experience to US military stations in an analytic role is desirable.
- US CITIZEN with ability to obtain TOP SECRET government clearance with SCI eligibility, ACTIVE TOP SECRET government clearance preferred
- BACHELOR'S DEGREE in a technical, quantitative, or scientific field of expertise listed below
- MASTER'S DEGREE is desirable
- Minimum THREE (3) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- In a direct operational, technical, investigative, or analytic role; AND
- In a military, law enforcement, or government setting; AND
- With significant work in data analysis, geospatial analysis, or software and tools development
- Demonstrate -- through education, experience, and/or sample work product -- foundational EXPERTISE in one or more of the following fields:
- Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analysis
- Criminology, Psychology, Applied Social Sciences
- Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Analysis, Engineering
- Intelligence, National Security, Cyber Security
- Geographic Information Systems, Geospatial Analysis
