The job holder will develop a suite of meaningful and informative Management Information and Analytical reports to support operational and strategic decision making. The job holder will support any relevant ICT development projects and also develop and improve the production of management information whilst also meeting the evolving reporting demands of both internal and external stakeholders.Key Accountabilities:
  • The job holder will support the Central Operations Team to make the most efficient use our Business Systems and to make recommendations for continuous improvement of our processes, workflows, system templates, reports and the way we hold and process our operational data.
  • To act as an expert Systems User that will support the delivery of Central Operations Team improvement projects as required by the business. The job holder will work collaboratively with key partners within the business to help to translate operational and business requirements and implement these into operational reports and dashboards.
  • To develop and deliver a suite of regular Management Information KPI reports and dashboards on all aspects of Operational Performance. Reports will be developed for a range of audiences including (but not limited to) Senior Leadership Teams, the Executive Team, Trustees, Regional Teams and Service Level Teams.
  • With the support of the Head of Central Operations, meet with stakeholders and end users to define new and revised reporting, intelligence requirements and goals, translating those business needs into physical reports.
  • To develop a schedule, and suite of reports to monitor compliance and performance, contractual delivery and the general management of our services.
  • To develop and deliver analytical reports as required that provide meaningful insights to drive positive change across operations and the business as a whole. This will include the analysis of trends or opportunities to make efficiencies or improvements in the organisation, and to ensure that we remain compliant in terms of how we process our data.
  • To understand our Operational Data and to lead on the self-audit of the information we hold and to ensure that we remain compliant to our internal processes and any statutory requirements
  • To build strong relationships with relevant internal and external key stakeholders at varying levels and across different business functions.
  • To support colleagues to understand and interpret MI and Analytical reports to affect meaningful change. The job holder will also identify any data issues and support colleagues to understand and put into action any developments made to processes or system.
  • To work to tight deadlines and identify and highlight any reporting issues / risks to the Head of Central Operations.

Person Specification - Essential Requirements:Experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a business systems analysis related role.
  • Demonstrable experience of advanced system administration and configuration.
  • Demonstrable experience of advanced reporting and data analysis
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting numerous core systems on a daily basis.
  • Leading and contributing to large meetings with varying levels of stakeholders
SkillsStrong Database Skills – understanding database structures with the ability to write complex SQL queries, working with large datasets and further develop the database (tables, views, functions, stored procedures etc.).Reporting Tools –SSRS skills in order to represent information in an intuitive meaningful way.MS Office - Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office packages, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.Requirements gathering - Ability to identify areas for improvement. Ability to understand end user requirements, translate into technically feasible solutions and document accordingly in detailed specifications.Analytical Skills - Excellent analytical skills. LocationThis role is home based. Travel within the North West of England may be required.This Role is Band I as per our Banding Structure.
