  • Review test reports for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with testing standards and product safety regulations
  • Administer Restricted Substance List (RSL) program, reviewing test reports for chemical failures and non-compliance
  • Communicate with technical teams and vendor/mill on test failures and suggest possible solutions and improvement plans
  • Act as a coordinator between the laboratories, mills, and vendors for any report or lab service issues, including failures and follow-up actions
  • Track the status of the Restricted Substance List (RSL) program, including supply chain performance on key chemicals Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain internal supplier lists for facilities participating in RSL test programs and collect and analyze chemical inventories, RSL testing data, and other relevant information from vendors
  • Coordinate with laboratories, mills, and vendors for research and development projects related to testing and compliance
  • Develop and propose revisions to testing protocols and test methods, based on industry standards and benchmarking exercises
  • Assist in the statistical analysis of lab test data, including trend analysis and report preparation
  • Provide technical support as necessary, addressing technical inquiries and clarifications from mills and vendors
  • Assist in administrative duties such as report filing and distribution, data entry, project updates, and program status tracking
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles and Clothing, Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of research or relevant work experience, preferably in a laboratory or testing environment
  • Knowledge of the production and quality aspects of fabric, apparel, and non-apparel products
  • Familiarity with testing standards, product safety regulations, and functional textile and apparel properties
  • Strong practical skills in textile and apparel testing, including physical and chemical properties testing.
  • Good command in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Superior analytical skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with mills and vendors on test failures and follow-up actions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze problems and identify solutions
