- Achieves guest satisfaction and rooms revenue goals by supervising the reception operation
- Ensures that Reception is staffed according to need by utilising business forecasts to schedule employees
- Oversees and participates in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests
- Addresses questions or problems pertaining to customer room accommodations and rates
- Checks the arrival list, conference guest list, and VIP list and informs appropriate individuals on returning guests, VIP’s and special guests
- Utilises leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction
- Monitors the Reception team’s overall service and team work daily and focuses on how to improve and increase service delivery efficiency, ensuring effective implementation of all front office standard of performance procedures
- 2-3 years’ experience as Front Office Manager essential for this role
- Proven track record of managing a team in a busy hospitality environment
- Fluency of written and spoken English with absolute attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative and equally able to work as part of the overall management team
- Proficient with Opera or similar reservations booking systems
