As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our young children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that align with our educational philosophy.
Provide individual support to children aged 2-5 years, tailoring activities to meet their unique needs and interests.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the children during classroom activities and outdoor exploration.
Assist in the creation and organization of stimulating learning environments, incorporating natural elements.
Observe and assess children’s progress and development, maintaining accurate records and communicating with the teaching team.
Foster positive behaviour and social skills, encouraging a sense of belonging and cooperation.
The ideal candidate:
Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
However, unqualified Teaching Assistant welcome to apply.
Previous experience working as a teaching assistant in an early years setting is desirable.
Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to create a supportive learning environment.
Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player.
