Position: Grower Relations RepresentativeLocation: North Front Range, ColoradoReporting to: CEO and Grower Relations ManagerSummary: As a Grower Relations Representative at Northern Feed and Bean, you will be the linchpin in developing and expanding our grower network. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our product reaches its maximum potential in the market through effective grower relations, sales initiatives, and customer satisfaction strategies. You'll be driving our presence in the agricultural sector, leveraging your agricultural or business background to enhance our market share and grower loyalty.Key Performance Objectives:1. Sales and Market Expansion (Year 1): Increase market share by 10% by effectively following up on leads, conducting product demonstrations, and securing sales in the assigned territory. Develop and implement a strategic plan to recruit and contract a minimum of 10 new growers within the first year, focusing on high-value crop varieties.2. Grower Relationship Management (First 6 Months): Establish and maintain strong relationships with a network of growers through regular visits, field calls, and support during the growing season. Achieve a 95% satisfaction rate among partnered growers. Conduct at least 70 grower visits and field inspections to advise on crop health, production optimization, and to address any grower concerns proactively.3. Operational Excellence (Ongoing): Oversee and manage the Torrington, WY receiving station operations during harvest, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Implement improvements that reduce wait times by 20%. Maintain accurate and up-to-date grower activity records in the corporate CRM system, enhancing tracking and support strategies.4. Product and Industry Expertise Development (First 3 Months): Gain comprehensive knowledge of all seed varieties handled by the company and stay abreast of agricultural research trends. Develop and conduct at least two training sessions for the grower community on new seed varieties and cultivation techniques.5. Territory Management and Reporting (Ongoing): Provide comprehensive weekly activity/call reports, monthly sales forecasts, and strategic insights into territory management to the CEO and Grower Relations team. Aim for a 10% improvement in reporting accuracy and detail over the first year.Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field is preferred. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships with ease. Strong leadership capabilities and familiarity with the sales process. Proficient in spreadsheet applications and analytical tools. Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory. Physical Demands and Work Environment: This role involves regular travel in a pickup truck across the assigned territory and both indoor and outdoor work settings. The ability to sit for extended periods and effective use of telecommunication tools is crucial.
