- Monitor the performance and availability of the global network infrastructure across multiple time zones.
- Respond to network incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve network-related problems promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network enhancements or new deployments.
- Conduct regular network maintenance activities, including configuration changes, firmware updates, and equipment replacements, following established change management processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients, assisting with network-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Conduct network capacity planning and make recommendations for infrastructure upgrades or enhancements based on anticipated demand and growth.
- Ensure compliance with network security policies, including monitoring for security vulnerabilities, conducting periodic audits, and implementing necessary measures to protect the network infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential benefits and recommending their implementation where appropriate.
- Adhere to follow-the-sun shift schedules, including 12 hour rotational day shifts, to provide 24/7 coverage for network operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network operations or a similar role, preferably in a follow-the-sun shift environment.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and topologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, routing, switching, etc.).
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Netbrain).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues efficiently and independently.
- Familiarity with network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Solid understanding of change management processes and experience implementing changes in a production network environment.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams across different time zones.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Certifications such as CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
