Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for a Personal Advisor to start a new role in Oldham on the After Care TeamWorking within the Council's After Care Team, you will work with young people aged 16 to 25-years-old who are or have been looked after or accommodated by the local authority to help them to move on to live an independent life. You will be expected to work in a way which ensures that young people are empowered and supported and have access to opportunities and appropriate levels of support to assist their transition from care.Responsibilities:To carry out the responsibilities and duties for looked after children in line with the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and 1989 Children Act whilst also act as an advocate for young people.To work with young people to ensure that their views and wishes are considered when developing Pathway Plans whilst maintaining regular contact with young people as required under the Children (Leaving Care) Act, 2000.To contribute and participate in the delivery of a duty system within the service Monday to Friday.To promote the involvement of young people in all aspects of service delivery and pathway planning and also develop and maintain relationships with young people who are or have been looked after.Applicant Requirements:Experience: Recent experience of working with young people preferably within a Post 16/leaving Care setting.Qualifications: NVQ III in a related subject such as Child Care or Health & Social Care, or equivalentCompliance: Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UKHours: 36.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday - office basedTravel: Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle and business insuranceWorking with Seven Social Care:Established in 2011, Seven Social Care is a leading provider of social care professionals to county councils, charities, hospitals, care homes and private organisations across the UK.Seven is the recruitment service that guarantees experienced, qualified, and available staff exactly when you need them.
