Mold Designer – Plastics Manufacturing – Base Salary to 45.00/hour – Philadelphia, PA

• Our client is a leading plastics manufacturer. They are a family owned and well-established company. They are currently looking for a Mold Designer for their team.
• The Mold Designer will be closely involved in tool room activities. This will be a hands-on role (day shift)involved in building, repairing, and maintaining molds and providing guidance on the designing of molds in the plant.

• Overseeing the operations within the toolroom department.
• Leading a small team of technicians and overseeing set up and operating of tool activities.
• Set up and operate milling, lathe, surface grinders, and basic machine shop equipment.
• Building and repairing molds.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and CAM/CAM files to determine mold specifications.
• Lead the preventative maintenance program for manual and automatic equipment.
• Utilize CAD software for mold design.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing molds.
• Troubleshoot mold and die issues in the shop and in current production.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

• 5+ years toolmaking/mold making experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Solid works experience.
• Experienced using Proto TRAK milling machine.
• 5+ years of CRM software experience.
• Ability to use 3D files to program CNC machines.
• Mold maker or tool maker journeyman certification (or equivalent).

• Base salary in the 38.00/hour – 45.00/hour range
