Offer DescriptionThe research activity will focus on the synthesis and development of powders and advanced ceramic materials, even as composites, for functional, structural and biomedical applications. Among advanced ceramics, particular attention will be given to zirconia, alumina, and their composites, that will be developed as materials with controlled structure/nanostructure as well as nanocomposites. Research activity will start from the synthesis or modification of advanced ceramic powders and then continue with shaping processes, both conventional and additive manufacturing, such as DLP. In this case, polymer-ceramic formulations will be developed with tuned rheological properties, opportunely tested and optimized. Finally, printed parts will be post-processed and characterized in terms of physical, chemical, biological and mechanical properties. Particular attention will be given to CAD modelling and consequently 3D printing of dental crowns and implants to be tested with mechanical tests.RequirementsAdditional InformationEligibility criteriaThe Call (published on Albo d'Ateneo no. 2361 on 22/04/2024) containing the selection requirements and how to apply is available at .Eligible destination country/ies for fellows:
