- Direct staff or work independently as a technical resource to assist business groups in growing sales revenue and improving operating profits. Respond to inquiries from sales staff and other internal department staff with questions and requests for information and assistance.
- Actively participate in the development and commercialization of new programs by working with PLM, SBUs, and sales and marketing management for the assigned product, application, and/or market. Participation may include field trial assistance, technical training development or rollout and after-commercialization sales support.
- Assists in creating value documentation tools to identify and quantify value provided by Nalco programs. Work with SBUs, PLM and sales to implement value tools at customer sites. Provide feedback on the performance of Nalco tools at customer sites.
- Provides technical support and is an interface between the sales force and the SBU. Is recognized as an expert on Nalco technology and understanding of customer processes. Works with IDMs, KAMs, and the sales force to bring prospect company opportunities to successful closes. Prioritizes and coordinates sales opportunities with SBUL, GMM, IDMs, and KAMs as appropriate for any account/customer.

- Maintains a high degree of technical knowledge of the industry/market segments by monitoring new developments, new products, new research, new concepts, etc. in the industry. Works with IDMs, PLM, TRC, and Research to take advantage of new technical developments through new products/applications/systems. Keeps field organization current with industry technology and best practices. Participates in training initiatives and develops training material as directed. Identifies and provides basic input on industry-unique needs for sales tools, technical materials, sales collateral, media and other promotional materials and campaigns.
- Provides onsite audit support for pre-bid technical qualification including laboratory testing & qualification if needed, as well as technical product and application recommendations
- Writes and distributes call reports detailing activities, recommendations and other observations directly related to site visits. Communicate product and program recommendations and specifications.
- Preferred: B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, M.B.A
- Min 10 years or more technical or industry experience in the Paper Industry
- And having min. 2 years of sales experience
- Familiarity with company products/applications/offerings as they relate to the appropriate industry or technical application.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required in analyzing products and applications to meet customer needs.
- Industry recognition of technical expertise, industry association trade organization and/or committee participation, and/or a significant body of technical writings to industry journals and conferences or case histories
