General Cover TeacherLocation: YorkStart Date: April 2024Working Hours: Minimum 3 days per week (ideally full time availability)Guarenteed pay schemes available *Subject to availability and travelVision for Education are seeking a general cover teacher to join our successful team and work in one of our client secondary schools in York from the Easter holidays onward.About the roleYou will be working in classes of around 30 pupils, with a wide range of ability levels. The role of a cover teacher within a school is to support learning and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. A general cover teacher can be utilised in all aspects of the school to cover across a multitude of subjects and would be expected to provide good quality teaching and learning in the absence of the regular subject teacher.RequirementsTo be considered for the role of General Cover Teacher you will:

Have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate with experience in Secondary Education
Have the ability to be adaptable and apply yourself professionally and enthusiastically in multiple subjects if required
Have strong passion for working with young people
