This role supports the delivery of corporate communications for Smith+Nephew across digital, media and local communications channels.What will you be doing?The role will be split between editorial and content creation, digital communications, media communications, Group corporate communications and administration. Key partners will be within the corporate affairs team, brand directors, marketing and investor relations. Your responsibilities will include:Sourcing and writing high quality editorial content including web copy, social media campaigns and posts and press, coordinating the revision and approval process.Maintaining our editorial calendar, covering Group-wide communications, leading our monthly editorial alignment team calls, setting the agenda and recording/circulating minutes.Supporting Digital Communications Manager in monitoring and managing social media communications and updating/maintaining corporate webpages as well as supporting with social media strategy and reporting.A point of contact for media related enquiries, responding with speed and accuracy and will deputise for VP Corporate Communications in dealing with media enquiries.Working alongside and supporting our PR agency.Supporting the planning, management and running of events.Taking a lead with administration tasks, including processing invoices, maintaining electronic filing systems and coordinating charity requests.What will you need to be successful:Strong writing skills, with ability to take a brief, research, interview, assimilate information and produce content that is tailored for multiple channels including social media, press release, web and internal communications.Experience in corporate social media management, including campaigns, channel management and analytics. Experience with traditional broadcast and print media and/or in web editing would be an advantage.As well as being degree educated (ideally with a PR related or equivalent degree) prior experience working in an in-house communications team or at an agency is important.You.
