- Lead the development and implementation of the school’s SEND policies.
- Coordinate the identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create individual education plans.
- Monitor the progress of pupils with SEND, reviewing and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including the SEND Code of Practice.
- Act as a key point of contact for parents/carers, fostering positive relationships and facilitating effective communication.
- Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
- Hold a National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification
- In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Have recent experience as a SEN Coordinator in a primary school.
