We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our growing team in our dynamic, early-stage biotech company. The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide hands-on execution and administration of the AP function and will work to improve our strong financial controls and compliance. This position will support the execution of the weekly and monthly AP processes, ensuring timely and efficient bill payments, while also contributing to the accuracy of internal financial reporting. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting. Responsibilities Process vendor bills, ensuring the accuracy of coding and compliance with the controls framework. Resolve vendor credits and variances in cooperation with the Purchasing department. Reconcile vendor accounts payable with vendor statements. Process employee expense reports. Process corporate credit card statements. Support and participate in the month/ quarter/ year-end close activities as needed. Maintain a strong internal control environment and prepare documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal control (SOX) policies and procedures. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation and regularly interact with business owners on accounting matters. Take on ad-hoc tasks as assigned. Requirements A minimum of 2+ years of work experience in accounts payable, preferably in a publicly traded company subject to US SOX requirements. Experience working in a hyper-growth environment preferred. Experience working with enterprise financial systems.
