In any organisation today, technology and its effective utilisation is core to success. Having the right technology infrastructure, systems and processes is important – but equally imperative is to have an IT Strategy that is actually aligned with the firm's overall goals.That means a technology approach that is actually serving the needs of both internal end users and ultimately the company's customers.With this in mind, your role here is to oversee the design and execution of service delivery for technology as well as managing the operation of all forms of IT support.Reporting directly to the Head of IT Strategy, you'll identify specifically what customer needs are with the aim of then ensuring they are addressed effectively.With this being the core, the remainder of your mandate will extend to other key elements of technology delivery.The first strand of this is in leading both project management and change management for the IT function. This will be more of a high-level role in ensuring project goals are aligned to strategy as well as examining the feasibility & impact of proposed changes.You'll also be designing processes so that the business can take onboard changes or upgrades with ease - through training and user acceptance testing mainly.Projects already in train include a movement from on-prem infrastructure to a more cloud-based environment as well as a new 'zero-trust' approach to cyber security also being a central aim.In fact, your other key focus will be on overall Information Security. This will mean working with the Head of IT Security to ensure implementation of controls and standards as well as supporting a strong IT Audit program.Requirements for this Role
  • Relevant experience in IT with a focus on general IT Service delivery and projects.
  • Strong Business acumen - delivering smart IT solutions with Business focus in mind - driving efficiency and smart processes.
  • Degree related to IT/Computer Science OR relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in managing a technical support team and good people management skills.
