We really are a company that wants to make a positive difference.He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the roleBased at our Ardmore Water Treatment Plant, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Controller to lead the Southern Headworks team. This is a challenging and fulfilling role with loads of variety. The role responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of Dam technicians and contractors on site to ensure effective operation of our Headworks assets in the Hūnua Ranges.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure Watercare meets it's statutory, corporate and customer obligations.
- Implementing Safety and Compliance Management Systems within operational areas, monitor efficiency and lead improvements
- Ensure dam safety, maintenance and operational tasks are undertaken in the relevant area
- Management of operational budgets
- Manage Health and Safety on site and demonstrate Health and Safety leadership
- Manage day to day operations to ensure water from our sources in the Hūnua Ranges is supplied to the Ardmore Water Treatment Plant
- A relevant tertiary level qualification
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, systems, standards and requirements
- An eye for detail with excellent data collection and reporting skills
- Drive to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the water industry
- Proven experience in successfully leading on-site teams
