This full-time role within our KS2-3 Department involves providing support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis. Catering to students aged 2 to 16 with mixed abilities and Profound and Multiple learning difficulties, our school recently earned a rating of Good with elements of outstanding from OFSTED, reflecting our dedication and innovative child development strategies.Committed to offering a balanced curriculum supporting communication, social, personal, and educational needs, our school utilizes the 'Routes for Learning' program. Responsibilities:
  • Support learners individually, in small groups, and in whole-class settings.
  • Foster a warm, caring, and supportive environment, promoting safety and enjoyment in the learning journey.
  • Contribute to delivering high-quality, challenging, and tailored educational activities aligned with a diverse curriculum.
  • Aim to help pupils reach their full potential across all areas of learning.
  • Communicate with parents and carers about pupils' progress, actively participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
Requirements:
  • Relevant childcare experience (voluntary or paid) (Must provide references)
  • Experience working or volunteering with SEN (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • All experience levels considered; ideal candidates are flexible, resilient, and have a positive approach to supporting learners with SEN (direct SEN experience not essential)
  • Relevant experience/knowledge of UK SEN settings (desirable)
