The successful applicant will continue to be employed and paid by the school, who will be paid a set fee by The Education People on the days worked.Are you a passionate and experienced headteacher looking for a new challenge?   • Maintain your leadership role in school whilst working part time as an adviser.
  • Broaden your experience and knowledge beyond your own school whilst developing other senior leaders.
  • Gain experience in a wider school effectiveness role, whilst maintaining your current terms and conditions.
  • Generate additional income by covering a proportion of your salary costs.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record:
  • As a headteacher, executive headteacher, Ofsted inspector or school adviser.
  • Of leading improvements within your current educational role and experience working with a number of schools.
  • Of using the Education Inspection Framework to bring about improvements. Experience working as an Ofsted inspector is desirable.
  • Of excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Of working independently with an eye for detail
As part of our improvement team, you will:
  • Work alongside highly motivated and professional individuals, committed to the ongoing improvement of provision in schools.
  • Play a significant role in supporting schools as their named Improvement Adviser as well as school-based consultancy support both within Kent and beyond.
  • Build on your skills and interests to further develop our training and support for schools.
  • Have the opportunity to work with a variety of schools and school leaders.
  • Make a difference to the life chances of children and young people across Kent and beyond.
  • On occasion, work more intensively with schools to ensure rapid improvement as a consultant leader.
