The Project Cost Engineer /Quantity Surveyor / Estimator prepares the installation cost estimates, and bill of materials. They are also responsible for accurately calculating the cost of a potential project and providing that information to the company to secure the job.

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
Identify any potential problems or complications and recommend solutions.
Consult with clients, vendors, and other industry professionals to discuss and formulate estimates.
Update and maintain cost databases.
Prepare estimates for use in bidding on contracts.
Review and ensure that estimates are accurate and complete.
Collaborate with sales, project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
