The ideal candidates will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess an Enhanced DBS clearance, although the DBS can be sought through teach195.Cover Supervisor Duties:
  • Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absence.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and instructions to students.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to teachers in delivering lessons.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of teaching materials.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Support students with additional needs, ensuring they have equal access to education.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Subject-specific qualifications for specialised teaching roles.
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment. Competence in using educational technology for teaching and administrative purposes.
  • Classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment. Adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners. Organisation and time management skills for effective lesson planning and administrative tasks.
Experience:
  • Previous experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable.
  • Experience working with students of different abilities and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum or relevant exam board specifications.
