Job descriptionArt Teacher – StockportWe are specifically working with a ‘Good’ secondary school in Stockport looking for a Art Teacher, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them teaching Art key stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings and be available for parents’ evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes.The school has exceptionally high expectations for all learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff and pupils have extremely positive relationships. Disruption to learning is rare as there is sensible behaviour and the positive attitudes to learning that pupils consistently display around the school. Pupils are happy with the wide range of subjects that they can choose to study and the extensive opportunities for their wider personal development. The school provides a wealth of activities for pupils to participate in, including football, dance, hockey and debating club.The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who have more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role).

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree educated with a good classification (2:2).
  • PGCE and QTS
  • Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference).
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided).
  • Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided).
  • Up to date behaviour management & FGM training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional children related references
