Period of employment: temporary (till September 30, 2026)The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.The candidate is required to * Hold a doctoral degree in the humanities or social studies.
- Academic achievements in the field of social communication and media science, especially image communication and branding, confirmed by independent scientific publications.
- Demonstrate documented professional experience in higher education, teaching experience in the field of teaching in Polish at a university-type higher education institution, in particular in the field of image communication, design thinking, branding and market analysis (at Bachelor's and Master's level) and readiness to teach them in the future, as well as organisation of teaching work at a university-type higher education institution.
- Strategic plan of scientific development in the field of social communication and media sciences.
- Experience in the implementation of research projects.
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Have a sufficient command of the Polish language to be able to communicate in the academic environment and to participate in comparative studies.
- The commission will also take into account the following additional criteria related to the didactic and scientific profile of the Image Communication Department: experience in conducting market research and developing promotion strategies, experience in organizing scientific conferences and of promotional events.
- Performing other tasks and activities related to the implementation and organization of the didactic process indicated by the Head of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication.
- Conducting research in the discipline social communication and media studies, including applying for internal, national and international grants, in accordance with criteria established by the relevant Discipline Council.
- Publication of research results with the affiliation of the "University of Wrocław" and their reliable documentation via the IDKS Library.
- Active participation in the research and publishing activities of the Institute and its organization (meetings of the Institute, domestic and foreign scientific conferences, editorial work for publications created at IDKS).
- Compliance with the provisions of copyright and related rights in teaching, research and creativity.
