- Work directly with the Countermeasure Chief Engineer
- Interface with the government customer and provide subject matter expertise for ICBM payload development
- Coordinate customer Mission Modeling Framework working groups
- Interface with government labs and support advanced research and development
- Interface with intelligence agencies
- Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for missile system payloads
- Lead technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership
- Provide Technical roadmaps to support a balanced, realistic, schedule to meet contractual requirements
- Develop new payload capabilities
- Review and provide feedback on models meant to simulate and evaluate hardware performance
- Review test plans to ensure methodology will correctly acquire data on attributes being tested
- Provide oversight of payload testing
- Perform model validation of various Payloads through test and analysis
- Verify Payload specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
- Create technical reports and present analysis results
- Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and support Advanced Program Capture efforts
- Interface with the Advanced Programs Division as Countermeasures subject matter expert
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 12 years with Masters, or 9 years with a PhD
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI, with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years
- 3 years technical experience in three or more of:
- Missile defense discrimination algorithms
- Missile defense radar/signature analysis
- Electro-optical and infrared signature analysis
- Kill vehicle seeker design and analysis
- Countermeasure/Penetration Aids design and analysis
- Experience with National Laboratories and/or Intelligence Agencies
- 2 Years experience with Sentinel Countermeasure development
- Experience with Missile Defense Agency Countermeasure development
- Experience developing Red Engineering models
- Experience with analytic models such as OSC, XPATCH, and Method of Moments codes

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
