- Responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of production-related activities at a Polish supplier’s site
- Develop the Polish supplier’s capability to manufacture and manage the production of products that meet defense and Raytheon standards
- Influence and translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes through work instruction generation and maintenance
- Support partner development of Technical Data Package (TDP), Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) optimization, Production Readiness Review (PRR), Test Readiness Review (TRR) and Ship Readiness Review (SRR) at Polish partner’s site.
- Support the Polish partner with planning and execution of Production Readiness Reviews, including identifying and recommending solutions for production readiness gaps.
- Collaborate effectively with both the Polish partner and internal cross-functional team (including engineering, SME’s - subject matter experts, quality, supply chain, and IPT leads among others) to establish new and improve on existing manufacturing processes and for real-time issue resolution
- Utilize LEAN & CORE principles to drive a continuous improvement culture and initiatives in support of international manufacturing operations, including to streamline manufacturing flow, and improve cycle time, safety, quality, and delivery.
- Influence factory throughput through capacity analysis, line balancing, and theory of constraint principles
- Support partner manufacturability reviews, special process audit, First Article inspections, and transition to production.
- Participate in partner RESA activities
- Support weekly subcontractors and internal team tag up meetings.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in production and/or engineering support environment related to Manufacturing or 6+ years of experience with advance degree
- Experience with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents
- Experience with product development and production support
- Experience within a manufacturing environment with current manufacturing systems and processes
- Experience working with a cross functional teams, with representatives from Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, IPT Leadership, Program Management teams
- Fluent in English and Polish
- Advanced knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably both production and repair scopes of work and with military products.
- Experience in transition from design to production
- Experience supporting international subcontractors in a production environment
- Experience leading teams or projects
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, Takt Time, Optimal product work-flow)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager
- Ability to influence others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
