Payroll Tax Filing Analyst

• Via bulk agency filing procedures, you will ensure timely submission and acceptance of all assigned U.S. tax jurisdictions within the published due dates.
• Work with clients to resolve issues involving agency tax filing rejections; you will file late original returns and amend previously submitted filings.
• Perform tax agency data exchanges to ensure the most up to date rate and frequencies for clients.
• Maintain a moderate to complex level of knowledge on assigned agency requirements. Monitor and update internal agency tables to reflect current agency deposit and filing requirements as it relates to agency systems. Coordinate and work with tax agencies to obtain correct client filing information and work cross-functionally to draft, review, and test business requirements that meet agency file specifications.
• Proactively identify opportunities and alternative methods for resolving outstanding agency concerns and issues. You will work toward full automation of deposits and filings to move towards a paperless environment.
• Act independently but may receive work direction from department manager and supervisor. Exercise independent judgment and develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned that are specific to the essential operations of the business.

• Bachelor’s degree or industry experience, or a combination of education and industry experience
• Effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external contacts, including government agencies and clients, in a positive and professional manner
• Use a variety of tools and information gained from internal and external sources to independently produce an effective solution for customers and our business. You must demonstrate strong analytical skills.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and/or tax filing required (preferably in a bulk payroll tax filing environment)
• Experience utilizing Salesforce for client case management
• Demonstrated ability to understand internal systems and has intermediate to expert-level knowledge of desktop tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, phones, e-mail, etc.)
