The Immigration Group Acquisition Capability Section (IGAC) provides advisory support to the Service Design & Delivery Programs (SDDP) Division. Functions include:Administering and championing the Immigration Group (IG) Capability Acquisition Service Offer which includes:

Leading Strategic and High-Value High-Risk procurements and projects (end to end)
Engaging with stakeholders (market, staff and interagency) in relation to select acquisition and contract matters.
Managing probity administration and procurement secretariat functions for select Immigration Group procurements

The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:

Leading the business analysis stream within a project team tasked with delivering strategic or high risk/high value procurements with a focus on digital capability acquisition.
Gathering requirements and functional specifications from a variety of stakeholders at all levels. This includes both the business area as well as technical/ICT/cyber security stakeholders.
Preparing, performing, and coordinating elicitation of requirements including brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, or interviews, and confirm or report on results.
Analysing business impacts, client management processes and procedures, validating solutions.
Planning and executing the transition of operational areas to the new arrangements based on business impact analysis and ‘As Is – To Be’ modelling.
Identifying business analyst deliverables, scope of work for relevant activities, resource allocation and effort estimates.
Collaborating with others to clearly define and clarify business needs to create an action plan, solution report or business case for consideration.
Gathering and analysing core requirements and concerns in order to meet needs and the Department’s business objectives.
Assessing the current state of the business to identify and recommend improvements for consideration by the senior users and provide strong analysis, verification, and validation on the recommended improvements.
