In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of varying compliance initiatives elevating our operational standards and fortifying our culture of compliance. Your role will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, proactive business risk assessment, meticulous internal auditing, and dedicated support for internal inquiries. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in contributing to our company's growth and success.Key responsibilities you will be in charge of
  • Assesses and reviews adherence to internal and external compliance requirements
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of compliance obligations
  • Audits internal logs on risk use cases and reports to the Head of Compliance on any identified issues
  • Collaborates with various departments, including legal, IT, marketing, and operations, to ensure a holistic approach to compliance
  • Prepare documents to maintain records of compliance-related activities and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provides support to internal users with compliance inquiries
  • Conduct screening to identify politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions issues, or other regulatory and reputational risks
  • Monitors potential compliance risks across different company product lines and clients;
  • Assists with ongoing compliance training for all employees
  • Assists with the preparation of compliance training materials
  • Assist other teams with their day-to-day compliance tasks.
About youWe are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for compliance, a knack for rapid learning, strong data acumen, and an eagerness to engage in diverse compliance responsibilities within our fast-paced and expanding tech startup. The ability to swiftly adapt to and cope with evolving product, system, and process changes and company needs is essential.Requirements to succeed in this role
  • Strong academic background: Legal, Finance, Business, Economics
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with a focus on detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Native-level proficiency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills (additional language skills would be a plus)
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, demonstrating ownership and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong sense of responsibility, capable of meeting tight deadlines and delivering efficient results
  • Effective presentation and dissemination of information in a clear and concise manner
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex issues and recommend appropriate actions
  • Capacity to assimilate data from diverse sources and prepare/analyze relevant reports and business correspondence
Nice to have
  • 6 months - 2 years of work experience; preferred in related fields such as law, risk management, consulting, operations, due diligence, or compliance
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
  • Critical thinkers – comfortable assessing complex situations and making nuanced decisions based on policies and processes
