Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: High WycombeWorking Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexible hours available)Salary: £80 - £100 per dayProtocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), offering long-stay placements for young people aged between 11 and 19 with a range of Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours. The school focuses on providing support to pupils who have been or are at risk of exclusion from a Special School due to their presentation of behaviours that challenge others.About the Role:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting and developing students to achieve their potential.
  • Tailoring support to meet the individual needs of each student, considering their diverse learning difficulties and behavioural challenges.
  • Ensuring students are happy and content at school while actively supporting them to be the best they can be
  • Being part of a collaborative and supportive team in a challenging yet rewarding educational environment.
About You:The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Maths, English, and basic IT skills.
  • Experience in a school or SEN setting is advantageous, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are critical.
  • Physical and mental fitness to meet the demands of working with challenging and energetic students.
  • A commitment to making a positive impact on students' emotional development.
