We're about making a difference.About the roleDo you have a background in accounts receivable or collections and thrive on providing outstanding customer experiences and outcomes? Join our Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Officer and join a supportive team culture.Working as part of the accounts receivable function, you will collaborate with your team, building relationships and together be responsible for supporting and administering Officeworks 30 day accounts including, opening new accounts, responding to inbound customer queries, reviewing credit limits, allocating payments, refunds and collection calls all with a client centric approach and in a timely manner.We offer great flexibility working in a hybrid working model, where you will be in the office 2-3 days per week and the rest of your week from home.As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will:
  • Provide excellent customer experiences with every call, answering and responding to inbound customer queries
  • Place a focus on first call resolution and problem solving to find a solution
  • Displaying empathy, understanding and a customer centric mindset, you will follow up on outstanding debt in accordance with our collections procedures
  • Open new accounts, review credit limits, refunds and allocate payments
  • Assist with the setup of new vendors
About youYou pride yourself on proving exceptional customer experiences with every interaction, your attention to detail, ability to plan and prioritise along with your self-motivated nature will see you excel in this role. In addition, you will have:
  • Experience in an Accounts Receivable, collections or a similar role
  • Previous experience in a customer contact role, with experience in an inbound or outbound calling environment an advantage
  • Knowledge of computerised invoicing and debtors accounting systems
  • The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to problem solve and ensure customer needs are met
  • SAP experience is a bonus
